Dalgona coffee

Korea's viral coffee sensation!

Have you tried dalgona coffee yet? I must admit to being late to this particular party. Whilst half the world was TikToking and Instagramming their attempts at making this 'quarantine drink', I somehow missed it until just the other day. But boy am I glad I've caught up! 😉

Originating in South Korea, and very similar to an Indian beverage known as pheti hui or beaten coffee, it uses only four ingredients. And incredibly, the creamy coffee mixture that is spread on the top of hot or cold milk is made using just instant coffee, sugar and water.

It's better to use an electric whisk if you can (much quicker!), but a bog-standard manual one will do the trick, too. And do make sure you use instant coffee.

Once you're done, we'd love to see a picture so we can admire your efforts! Why not post one to our Facebook page?

Enjoy!
